RICHARD PICKEN MEMORIAL GRANT
Declaration of interest
Grants from the Richard Picken Memorial Fund will be awarded annually to one rider competing at the FEI CCI2* level or higher. The fund is intended to grant $5,000 each year. Grant applicants will submit the following information for consideration:
The grant is available to U.S. citizens through the year of their 25th birthday and younger.
Riders must be currently competing at the FEI CCI2* level or higher in the sport of eventing.
Funds are to be used towards the intensive training of the grant recipient, with a preference for show jumping training.
Applicants must be members in good standing with the USEA, USEF and FEI.
The successful recipient will report regularly to the Review Committee on their progress and how the grant funds are utilized.
Applications for this grant from qualified riders must be complete and received on time in order to be considered. Late or incomplete submission will not be considered.
Two reference letters are required and are due on the same date as the application.
This declaration is the first step in the grant process. Additional information, budgets and a phone interview may be required for riders selected for final consideration.
